Laneway Make Amends After Forgetting About SPOD

St Jerome’s Laneway Festival have invited Sydney muso SPOD down to co-MC the Sydney leg of the festival alongside Agnes DeMarco after leaving him off the bill.
After the festival announced their bill yesterday, SPOD penned an open letter asking why he wasn’t headlining the festival anymore after five promising breakfast meetings and evening cocktail meetings.

“Don't get me wrong, I'm ready to invest hard earned cash into my brand, but from our handshake deal back then till now, I thought it was a gentleman's deal, signed and sealed,” he wrote.

“So in good faith here’s my invoice for the breakfasts, cocktails, an unannounced extra guest, two diamond martinis and accommodations totalling $26693.92. Thanks and I'll see you on stage next year?”
Laneway, perhaps learning lessons from supermarket giant Cole who knocked back SPOD’s jingle recently, have now done the honourable thing.
