Speaking on the collaboration with Christopher, Alexander shared, “Sometimes in anger I find that my girlfriends and myself included all tend to overshare with each other.
“I think it’s necessary and it’s human nature to share emotions with the people around you, but what we don’t talk about enough is how anger, if not processed properly, can leave lasting marks and embarrassment in its wake. Situations change and moments pass and sometimes we have to clean up the mess that anger left behind.”

It’s a theme heard within RAGE, which captures the experience of reclaiming oneself. “Rage has been the catalyst of positive change in my life over the last couple of years,” Alexander explained in a statement.
She continued, “The album is about an emotion I’ve always had but never understood. It’s me looking at it and embracing it as a new friend and realising that I don’t have to shut it down or avoid looking at it. Rage has helped me find what truly matters to me and to change my life in ways that work for me.”
RAGE arrives two years after Alexander released her acclaimed debut album, YOUNG IN LOVE, which debuted at #3 on the ARIA Australian Albums Chart.
For her upcoming album, Alexander recorded live using only organic instrumentation. She collaborated alongside top-tier writers and producers, such as PJ Harding (Noah Cyrus), Ehren Ebbage (Lizzie McAlpine, Myles Smith), Jamie Scott (Major Lazer, Justin Bieber), Dan Bryer (Niall Horan), and longtime collaborator Shungudzo Kuyimba (Teddy Swims, Little Mix), to capture the sounds she was after.
RAGE will be released on Friday, 26 June, via Warner Music Australia. You can pre-order/pre-save the album here.
