Head down to Frankie's Pizza for a slice of classic rock, why not?

More Bruce Kulick More Bruce Kulick

Legendary guitarist Bruce Kulick, best known for manning the lead six-string in hard-rock icons KISS for 12 years from the mid-1980s to mid-'90s and now shredding it up in Grand Funk Railroad, will play a surprise gig with the house band at Sydney venue Frankie's Pizza tonight.

In the country for a series of masterclasses to divulge some of his tips and tricks as one of the world's most prominent axe-wielders, Kulick's final few days in Australia have lined up perfectly to allow him the time to step out with the esteemed musicians in Frankie's World Famous House Band for a concert-length performance of classic covers and KISS tracks for those in attendance.

Kulick, for his part, seems to be pretty jazzed about the show, describing Frankie's as a "terrific venue" and "'the place' to be in Sydney, like [famed club] CBGB was in NYC", even shooting a compliment to Frankie's World Famous House Band's way, calling them "the killer house band that everyone raves about".

"Hope to see the Sydney KISS Army there!" Kulick said.
