Renowned Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett has revealed his intentions to pen an autobiography during the next year.
The musician told Ultimate-Guitar, during an interview at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena recently that a book was in the works.
“I am going to put a book (out) though. I am working on it and that in itself feels like I am making a solo album because it is so much God damn fuckin’ work! It is all my self. I don’t have a band I can rely on or seek support,” Hammett said.
The Metallica axeman also mused about the possibility of a solo album occurring in the near future.
“So I think once I do this book thing, maybe I may start considering doing a solo album, but I don’t know,” he told Ultimate-Guitar.
Metallica only recently finished a string of sold-out shows in Melbourne and Sydney and return in a few weeks for the second part of their national tour of Australia.
