Kingswood Announce National Tour And Unveil New Single

2 July 2014 | 4:30 pm | Staff Writer

Get along and help the Melburnian indie rockers feel that you love them

More Kingswood More Kingswood

In-form Melburnian indie rock outfit Kingswood have hit fans with a double serve of delectability – the simultaneous release of their fresh new single I Can Feel That You Don't Love Me and announcement of a massive forthcoming national run of shows kicking off in August, proudly presented by The Music!

Hot on the heels of the successful Suckerpunch, which informed their recent post-Groovin The Moo headline tour, I Can Feel That You Don't Love Me is the band's next taste of the output contained on their keenly awaited impending debut full-length Microscopic Wars, due out on Friday, August 22.

Where Suckerpunch was classic Kingswood aggro, I Can Feel That You Don't Love Me finds the band in a more tender mood, stepping up the emotionality of tone to let guitarist Alex Laska shine comfortably in his debutant performance on lead vocals.

The single is available for purchase via iTunes now. While that's downloading, you should check out this rad live performance of the track at a recent Tram Sessions performance in Melbourne:

It's been all uphill (in a good way) for Kingswood since their successful first EP Change Of Heart, with the renowned rockers going on to share stages alongside the likes of Pearl Jam, Arcade Fire and Deftones as well as taking out a coveted triple j Unearthed Splendour In The Grass competition and appearing on festival bills around the country.

No doubt the triumphant journey will continue upon Microscopic Wars' release, with the band touching down in Adelaide two days prior on August 20 to kick their tour off at Pirie & Co Social Club before rolling on relentlessly to shows around the country until they wrap up where they started on October 24, at Adelaide's Unibar.

Tickets will be available for purchase from 9am on Friday, July 4. Check Kingswood's site, the Gig Guide or The Music App for further date, venue and ticketing information.
