It's going to be a big week on the charts!
It’s a race to the #1 spot on the ARIA Albums Chart this week, with both Kings Of Leon and A Day To Remember vying for the title.
The two US rock groups released their new albums last week, with A Day To Remember sharing You’re Welcome, their seventh studio album and first since 2016’s Bad Vibrations. It’s been the same length of time for Kings Of Leon with the family band releasing When You See Yourself, their follow-up to 2016’s Walls.
The Green Room’s Neil Griffiths recently caught up with Kings Of Leon’s Jared Followill who opened up about the band’s tumultuous past.
"Being in a 'rock band', people kinda want you to be a little bit debaucherous... that basically just enables you to kinda do whatever you want and just get extremely wild," shared Followill.
"And then you're exposed to these situations where everybody is doing that, but you're exposed to it more. So you're doing them kinda like every other night and things can just start to spiral... that's why a lot of that stuff has taken down a lot of great artists because it's encouraged."

Looking at the wider chart, The Wiggles - who are fresh off the back of their epic Tame Impala Like A Version performance - are set to debut in the Top 10 with their new We’re All Fruit Salad!: The Wiggles’ Greatest Hits, while Pete Murray is expected in the Top 15 with his The Night EP and Zara Larsson is looking at Top 40 with Poster Girl.
Over on the Singles Chart, Drake is set to make a big impact thanks to the release of his latest EP.
The Canadian artist is likely to have all three of the tracks from his new Scary Hours 2 EP land on the chart, with What’s Next and Wants & Needs feat. Lil Baby both expected for the Top 10, while Lemon Pepper Freestyle feat. Rick Ross is looking at Top 20.
Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak & Silk Sonic’s Leave The Door Open is expected to debut in the Top 20, while Justin Bieber’s Hold On is likely for Top 30.
P!nk & Willow Sage Hart’s Cover Me In Sunshine is likely to move further up the Top 10, while Riton x Nightcrawlers Friday feat. Mufasa & Hypeman is looking to move up to the Top 30 from its place at #41 last week.
