Norway’s Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe give us two Laneway sideshows.

More Kings Of Convenience More Kings Of Convenience

Sydney Opera House and Chugg Entertainment dropped the word of Laneway sideshows for Norway's beautiful Kings of Convenience, a tour that will mark their debut appearance in Australia.

With a career spanning 11 years and four full length records, Eirik Glambek Bøe and The Whitest Boy Alive frontman Erlend Øye have been enchanting the underground world with their beautiful vocal harmonies, stripped-back guitar and distinct variation of indie-pop.

Their records have given a distinct look into the facets of life, with 2001's debut and remix versions of Quiet is the New Loud, establishing their indie popularity with the likes of Elliott Smith and Belle & Sebastian, 2004's Riot on an Empty Street that included collaborations with Feist and along with 2009's Declaration of Dependence they have secured a sound described as both heartbreaking and breathtaking.

Fans got the chance to witness the beauty of The Whitest Boy Alive at this year's Sydney Festival, and as an additional treat, despite only playing fewer than ten shows in three years, the Kings of Convenience will take to the Opera House Concert Hall and Melbourne's Hamer Hall next February.
