King Parrot ProfileBeloved, eclectic Melbourne heavyweights King Parrot have made a plea to the public for donations to help them recover funds lost when their tour van was broken into in Chicago on Saturday night (US time).
The band hit Facebook this morning (AEST) to raise awareness of their misfortune, which saw them lose "a week of show and merch payments along with some valuable personal items".
"Stupid… yeah, we know," the band wrote in the post, which they accompanied with a photo of the van's front passenger seat, covered in shattered window fragments from the thieves' less-than-subtle entry point.
"Any friends that can make a donation to help us recover what we've lost would be greatly appreciated."

Adding insult to injury, the band are within a week of completing their US tour with North Carolina stoner metal mainstays Weedeater, which they've been on since late March; the bands wrap their tour in New Orleans on 20 April.
