A collaboration between New Zealand pop artist Kimbra and Australian muso Sophia Brous, acclaimed New York ensemble collective EXO-TECH will return to Melbourne this year as part of a new festival.
The ensemble’s return will see New York artists Yuka Honda with EUCADEMIX, the Dave Harrington Trio and more setup at Arts Centre Melbourne on July 18 as part of winter festival MEL&NYC.
EXO-TECH made its Australian debut last year at Supersense in Melbourne, which Brous helped curate. It’s been described as a hypnotic live show in-the-round that explores “hyper colour intersections between group improvisation and spontaneous pop song composition”.
