“It’s mental."
Melbourne songwriter Kids At Midnight, aka Jane Elizabeth Hanley, is literally taking over the world.
The Aussie talent, who scored global attention after her track Boys Like You landed a spot on Mindy Kaling's Netflix series Never Have I Ever, is now featured on Times Square billboards, with the local artist telling The Music “it’s mental”.
The bright billboards located on the corner of Times Square and 42nd Street promote the new Kids At Midnight album, All I Ever Wanted Was Your Love, which The Music has the pleasure of premiering last week.
“It feels like it took such a long time to make these songs sounds like what I’d imagined they would in my head when I dreamed them up," Hanley told The Music last week.
"The album has come out joyful and sad and upbeat and chill and I hope when people close their eyes and listen they see their dream crush coming toward them from a crowded room in slow-motion.”
After the indie-pop artist's 2019-released track Boys Like You featured on Kaling's Netflix series back in April, the track shot to #4 on Apple Music's Shazam Discovery list.
