Put on your suavest silk shirt, find mum’s eyeliner, and oil up: we’re running on island time now.

In the follow-up to the wild announcement that Keli Holiday of Peking Duk fame (real name Adam Hyde) would be doing a duet with legendary talk-show host and walking meme Karl Stefanovic, the pair have finally revealed the fruits of their labour.

Posting to Instagram yesterday (2nd September), Holiday showed a post of himself and Stefanovic arm in arm, giving their best blue steel to the camera. This was followed by a series of images showcasing the DM timeline between Stefanovic asking to do a duet and Holiday keenly obliging.

Messages from Stefanovic to the singer show the utmost dedication to the bit, with Karl texting, “I’m dead keen,” and “I want full eye makeup.”

Holiday captioned the post “whoever guesses the song will have good luck n forehead kisses for 7 years,” igniting a slew of classic hits within the comment section.

Dropping the video at 9 am today, Keli Holiday revealed to fans a steamy video of the pair covering the Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers ballad Islands In The Stream

With 80s excess and green screen glory, the two stand with silk shirts wide open, eyeliner on, and their best dance moves out.

Stefanovic grins at the camera at the song's end: “That’s sexual,” he says.

Holiday’s duet with longtime friend Karl is one of the many things the artist has been dabbling at lately, also on the brink of wowing the industry masses at BIGSOUND in Brisbane this week.

The singer will then springboard into his national Jesterman Tour across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide. While the Sydney, Brisbane, and September 13th Melbourne shows are sold out, tickets for Perth, Adelaide, and Melbourne’s 12th September shows can be nabbed here.
