Kanye West will break the record for longest music film clip with the video for his new single Runaway, taken from his upcoming, fifth release, ‘Dark Twisted Fantasy.’
The video will run for 40 minutes, just 29 seconds longer than the previous record holder, Michael Jackson’s Ghosts.
In true Kanye fashion, West has claimed the mini movie will be an “Epic piece of art,” and is based on his own life. The song is about a Phoenix that falls to Earth, is heavily criticised, and eventually burns itself up to escape.
‘Dark Twisted Fantasy’ is due for release on November 16 and will feature guest spots from artists such as Jay-Z, Eminem, RZA and Beyonce.
