A new festival will debut on the local calendar this year in Victoria, with Out On The Weekend providing punters with a day of quality Americana music.

Leading the bill will be US muso Justin Townes Earle, who announced his latest album yesterday, as well as charismatic local Henry Wagons. Country, bluegrass and folk blender Robert Ellis, Los Angeles muso Ryan Bingham and Canadian singer-songwriter Lindi Ortega are among the other names confirmed for the event.

Out On The Weekend will also provide a quality menu of gourmet food and beverages for punters, with Porteno/Bodega chefs Ben Milgate and Elvis Abrahanowicz and Melbourne's Raph Rashid behind some of what will be consumed on the day.

The festival will take place on the water at Seaworks, Williamstown between 11:30am to 10:30pm on Saturday 18 October. Tickets go on sale next Friday 25 July, with free entry for kids under the age of 12. For more info, check out theGuide or The Music App.
