Music superstar Justin Timberlake has denied he was refused entry by a Sydney club that was said to be hosting his Sydney show after-party this week, as reports have claimed.

Reports emerged late yesterday that the singer and his entourage were denied entry into Oxford Street's Miind Nightclub early Friday morning following his Allphones Arena show Thursday night because of the lockout laws imposed for 1:30am.

In a statement released by Miind Nightclub, the venue said that Timberlake's official tour DJ Freestyle Steve arrived at the club at 1:10am and soon began his set, which was meant to run for an hour, but only went for 30 minutes. The club claim that a second lot of Timberlake's entourage, his tour managers, arrived at 1:40 but were refused entry, which led ultimately led to Freestyle Steve's set being cut short. They said they were advised Timberlake was "on his way" to the venue by the singer's management and the DJ.

"The tour management were not happy with MIIND Nightclub refusing entry to the rest of the entourage and moments later DJ Freestyle Steve ended his set prematurely, walking out with the group that had arrived with him earlier," the statement read.

"Had the entourage been let in, the venue would have broken NSW laws and would have most certainly been subject to prosecution."

"MIIND Nightclub has no way of verifying whether or not Justin Timberlake was in fact on his way to the venue, we were simply acting on the information that was provided to us by management of the tour/DJ Freestyle Steve."

In a since deleted post on his Facebook, Freestyle Steve alleged that Timberlake was never going to be attending the party.
