The Powerhouse Youth Centre will showcase the collective stories of six young people, all of whom are part of the underground parkour and urban community in Fairfield, one of the most diverse regions in Australia through Jump First, Ask Later.
The urban freestyle of Parkour has been merged with contemporary dance to highlight violence and redemption and the struggles of migration. The play explores the feeling of freedom these young people feel when engaging and navigating the obstacles in their city with physicality and movement.
The show will run from 19 to 29 Aug at the Powerhouse Youth Centre in Fairfield.
