A new day event for the already massive Gympie Music Muster has been announced, with the Saturday of the festival welcoming The Department Of Youth program.
The concert, which is held at Gympie's Crowbar stage, will feature several prominent and up-and-coming country, folk and pop artists - Josh Pyke, Bob Evans, Thelma Plum, Uncle Jed and The Soorleys - all of which are on the epic Gympie bill.
The concert, which will run from midday 'till 7:30pm, is aimed at the youth who'll be attending the festival and the your general music enthusiasts, according to the event's General Manager Jeff Chandler.
"The Department of Youth special event not only provides a special opportunity for the youth who will be attending the festival, but also for music lovers who wish to experience some of the fantastic new artists making their mark on the Australian musical landscape,” Chandler said.
Gympie Music Muster will take place from Thursday 28 – Sunday 31 August at the Amamoor Creek State Forest Park, south-west of Gympie.
