Jon Spencer Blues Explosion Announce Club Shows

For 20 years the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion have proven themselves to be one of the world's finest live bands. Three insanely talented musicians, a frontman with more swagger than your average AFL team, and a whole bunch of great songs that go from punk to garage to soul to blues to funk slammed out with utter ferocity mean they make it look very easy.

Australian audiences have long been in love with this group and each and every return visit is met with great enthusiasm. This time they bring with them a new record by the name of Meat + Bone, which we are pleased to say is one of the most scintillating records we've heard from these three guys in a long time.

They're also bringing with them the most awesome Moon Duo, the fuzzy space rock project started by Wooden Shjips' Ripley Johnson. Moon Duo have also endeared themselves to Australian audiences in recent times with some great shows out here, so we are more than excited to see them heading around the country with the Blues Explosion.
