John FarnhamMelbourne-bred festival One Electric Day is broadening its horizons in 2015, announcing that it will be making its way to Adelaide for the first time this year with a line-up led by local legends John Farnham and Daryl Braithwaite.
Joining the two treasures of Aussie music history are The Black Sorrows (featuring sax virtuoso Joe Camilleri), Russell Morris, Daddy Cool/Mondo Rock's Ross Wilson, and Swanee for what's sure to be a day to remember at Elder Park on the River Torrens on Sunday, 6 December.
The inaugural One Electric Day event launched in Melbourne back in 2013, and sold out well before the festival itself, so you'll be wanting to move quickly on this one when tickets are made available next week.
"I am excited to bring One Electric Day to Adelaide for the first time, especially to such a magnificent venue as Elder Park," festival promoter Duane McDonald said in a statement.
A Frontier Members' pre-sale for tickets will be held from 12 noon AEST this Wednesday, 5 August, until the same time on Thursday (or earlier if allocation is exhausted). The general public will have their turn from 9am AEST next Monday, 10 August, via Ticketmaster.
Melbourne's 2015 One Electric Day festival, heading to Werribee Park on the Great Lawn on Sunday, 29 November, is sold out.
