Take John Butler's Tin Shed Home

When he was out on the road on his Tin Shed Tales tour earlier this year, John Butler took it upon himself to ensure the performances in Fremantle, Kalgoorlie, Mandurah, Dunsbourough and Albany were all recorded. Given this area where these shows were taking place is very close to Butler's heart, he probably had some indication they were going to be particularly special events and wanted them captured.

And so we now have the Tin Shed Tales live double-CD set a collection of the best songs from those five shows, featuring the very skillful Butler as you've likely never heard him before; stripped back and bare, humbled and relaxed. The intimacy of these shows is said to be captured gloriously on the set, with hit songs like Better Than, Pickapart and Treat Yo Mama played as if he were just hanging out in your backyard. You'll be able to hear for yourself when the record is released nationwide and online through iTunes on Friday 11 May.
