The local outfit are hitting the road to celebrate their first new single in two years
It's been a little while between drinks for Sydney-bred indie-pop mainstays Jinja Safari, but they're heralding their return to active duty with the announcement of a blink-and-you'll-miss-it run of shows down the east coast in honour of their first single in two years, Find My Way.
Starting off in their home town, at the Oxford Art Factory, on Friday, 31 July, the band will perform at Brisbane's Woolly Mammoth on Saturday, 1 August, as well as Howler, in Melbourne, on Friday, 7 August, to usher in the live debut of their new cut, which stands as the first taste of a whole new batch of tunes the band have been cooking up of late, some more of which will also get their maiden airing in the flesh when the band hit the road next month.
"It feels very surreal and exciting to be playing together again," frontman Pepa Knight said in a statement.
"We have written a bunch of fresh new songs that we are keen to showcase as well as some oldies that we just rediscovered on Spotify."
