Jimmy Barnes' 'Working Class Boy' Doco To Hit Aus Streaming Service Next Month

Based on the Aussie legend's 2016 memoir.

Jimmy Barnes' critically-acclaimed Working Class Boy documentary is set to premiere on Stan next month. 

The 2018 film - based on the legendary Australian songwriter's 2016 memoir - will be available to watch from 24 April.

Following its release in cinemas, Working Class Boy had the biggest opening ever for an Australian documentary and the biggest opening for a documentary in general since Michael Jackson’s This Is It in 2009.


The documentary tells the story of Barnes' childhood in Glasgow and South Australia exploring themes of domestic violence, poverty and alcoholism.

Also confirmed to be hitting Stan next month includes 2020-released I Used To Go Here, starring Flight Of The Conchords' Jemaine Clement and Gillian Jacobs (April 1) and the Taika Waititi-produced Baby, Done which stars New Zealand actress and comedian Rose Matafeo and Harry Potter actor Matthew Lewis (April 20).
