Jay Z has signed hit British band The Ting Tings to his record label Roc Nation in the US. Apparently big poppa Z is so stoked on the band that he wants to lend a hand on their next LP.

A source told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “Jay is hoping to lend his production skills to some of the new material…The Staccato rhythmic style of The Ting Tings sits well with what he does best, so that was the attraction…” One thing’s for sure, having Jay Z on board can do no harm for the Ting Tings over in the states… everything the guy does turns to gold.

The Ting Tings have been touring their debut album ‘We Started Nothing’ around the world since mid 2008 and the duo are said to be a little homesick. That’s a pitty as they will be spending a good stint of their time over the next 12 months in the States working on the next record with the Jay Z. Really, they shouldn’t complain…

Jay Z also recently signed British girl group the Sugababes to his label.
