Jane Gazzo announces her exit from [V] amidst the network's highly publicised search for a new presenter.

Subscription music network [V] has announced that the station's most high profile host Jane Gazzo will be moving across to sister network Max.

In a press release issued on the weekend, Gazzo's move was revealed alongside news of the network's Presenter Search finalists.

The statement described xyz (the umbrella network of [V] and Max) as "delighted" to announce that, from July, Gazzo would be joining Chit Chat "to complete the talent line up" at Max.

Gazzo is set to co-host Max Recommends as well as "a range of programs". In the press release, Gazzo said she is looking forward to the year ahead as "Max has long reigned on the Foxtel platform as the home of credible music."

The move of stations comes under a month after xyz networks merged with Foxtel as part of the Foxtel/Austar deal.

Gazzo had previously worked as a broadcaster on triple j and co-fronted ABC's much-missed Saturday morning music show Recovery. She also presented several music shows on UK radio before returning to Australia to take up her position at [V].

Yumi Stynes, the controversial panellist on Ten's The Circle moved from [V] to Max before embarking on her free-to-air career. Jimmy Barnes has also appeared as a regular host on Max's The Know.

A search for a new [V] presenter was already underway before the network announced the news of Gazzo's move. They have currently narrowed the search down to four finalists - George Negus' son Serge who had made the final 20 did not make the final four.
