Jakubi Sign With Create/Control Ahead Of EP Release

Eclectic Melburnian outfit Jakubi are preceding the forthcoming release of their new EP Holiday with the news that they have become the newest signings to join the perenially blossoming roster on local label Create/Control.

The deal comes just ahead of the band's new work, which is set for release this Friday, 23 January, and hot on the heels of a year in the life that saw them win hearts at home and in North America on tours around Australia, the US and Canada.

Since first embarking on their collective foray, the band have garnered in the vicinity of 5 million streams on SoundCloud, with 4 million YouTube views not hurting their renown any, either.

The group will set off on a tour of Victoria and the United States once again this year, leaving the smallest of windows between their EP's release at the end of this week and their first show at the Globe To Globe Music Festival in Clayton on Australia Day. With shows lined up through till March in Mt Hotham, Brighton, Latrobe Uni, Brunswick, Traralgon, Warrandyte and Ballyrogan, southern fans should have ample opportunity to catch the band in action before they board a plane to take on the home of the brave.
