Sydney duo will cancel album lead-in shows

Much-hyped Sydney duo Jagwar Ma have today cancelled the second half of their upcoming east coast Australian shows with the band struck down by illness.

The band, who had the cover story of Sydney's The Drum Media last week, have cancelled their shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. They “hope to reschedule… in the near future.”

With their debut album to be released in June, the band are booked to play a number of international summer festivals including Glastonbury, Great Escape, England's Field Day an Ibiza Rocks.

Refunds from the April show are now available from point of purchase.

In January the band signed local and international label deals with Future Classic and Marathon Music respectively. Their current tour was their first headline tour following their supports of The xx.

Thursday 18 April – Oxford Art Factory, Sydney (cancelled)
Friday 19 April – Elsewhere, Gold Coast (cancelled)
Saturday 20 April – Alhambra Lounge, Brisbane (cancelled)
Thursday 25 April – Ding Dong Lounge, Melbourne (cancelled)
