Taiwanese-Australian singer, producer, multimedia artist and songwriter Jaguar Jonze has today released her new single and music video CUT.

The single follows her critically acclaimed recently released single, WHO DIED AND MADE YOU KING? and its accompanying remix with Zimbabwean-American artist Shugundzo.

In the past year, Jonze has become a public vessel for change and accountability in the light of Australia's #MeToo movement, winning the triple J Done Good Award and being named one of the 21 Most Inspiring Women of 2021 by Vogue Australia.

Off the back of her incredible work and music, she'll be performing as a part of Eurovision Australia Decides this year.

CUT continues Jonze's distinct sonic ethos, challenging unbalanced working relationships and the process of exiting them.

On the track, she said: "CUT is the anger behind realising that people you trusted professionally have been gaslighting you and manipulating your reality - constantly taking from you in a one-way transaction.

"Once I realised what was happening, it was a long journey of breaking free from those environments and, more importantly, understanding that what happened had nothing to do with me.

"It spawned from their deep insecurity and greediness. I was then able to deprogram myself - I wanted nothing but to CUT, get out, and take back control."

The release is accompanied by a music video, which reflects the tracts sentiment with a humorous and manically charged energy not seen by the artist before.

"In CUT, I wanted people to feel the desperation and determination to CUT themselves off from toxic, manipulative, gaslighting relationships in any environment once you've realised what has been happening to you."
