Support Act Names New Board Director

Support Act has appointed Jacqueline Purcell as the organisation's new Board Director. 

Purcell is currently the Chief Financial Officer for Deputy, a workforce management start-up, and has previously worked with Morgan Stanley, Allens Arthur Robinson and Culture Amp.

She will hold the position of Director of Support Act Limited for an initial period of two years. 

“When looking to fill this vacancy, the Directors felt that it was important to look for a person with skills and experience outside of the music industry," said Chair of Support Act Sally Howland.

"Jacqui's diverse career fits perfectly with the Board's aim to broaden its strategic perspective, and we all very much look forward to having her as part of the team."

"I am incredibly honoured to take on this position," added Purcell. 

"The events of this year have clearly highlighted the vital role Support Act plays to assist those working in the music industry through the provision of crisis relief services and mental health support. 

"Joining the Board at such a pivotal time, I hope that my experience working in high growth, technology businesses can help Support Act continue to grow and positively impact more people in the music industry."

Purcell joins Howland, John Watson, Sebastian Chase, Linda Courtney, Leah Flanagan, Alethea Beetson, Karin Lines, John O'Donnell, Tom Larkin, David Albert and Lynne Small on the board.
