Award-winning WA alt-folk troubadour Jacob Diamond releases his stellar new single, Docks, today, and has announced a string of tour dates in its honour to boot.

The tune comes on the heels of his excellent recent EP, Um, Diamond's velvet vocals a magnetic centrepoint around which a warm, dynamic soundscape alternates between purposeful and ambling before hitting its closing climax and ringing out.

Produced, mixed and mastered by Lachlan Carrick (Gotye, Ainslie Wills, Gretta Ray), Docks is the first taste of Diamond's upcoming debut full-length. If it's any indication of the quality entailed in a broader release, it's safe to say that album will likely be something special to behold indeed.

Jacob Diamond will kick off his national tour in support of the song in Fremantle with a full-band show at Odd Fellow before flying solo to woo crowds in Brisbane, Melbourne (twice), Adelaide and Perth, where he wraps up with an ultra-intimate outing at the 35-pax Satchmo's.
