Melbourne and Sydney Jackson Browne fans were unlucky in recent weeks, with the iconic singer postponing shows after coming down with an illness he couldn’t shake off.

While the rescheduled dates aren’t as soon as fans would hope, Browne will return in November and December with special guest Liz Stringer.

All existing tickets remain valid for the new dates. If you purchased tickets to Browne’s original show at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on Thursday, 13 April, your new show date is Wednesday, 29 November 2023.

If you purchased a ticket to his Sydney performance at Aware Super Theatre show on Saturday, 15 April, your new date is Friday, 1 December 2023. If unable to attend the new dates, patrons are able to obtain a full refund via Ticketek.

Browne said in a statement on Saturday:

“My Dear Friends,

“I’m sorry to have to tell you that I’m still very sick, and have to postpone my concert at the Aware Super Theatre in Sydney. Though I have been taking antibiotics, and have had three days of vocal rest, that has not produced the results I was hoping for. In fact, I don’t actually know what kind of infection I have.

“This means that I must postpone the rescheduled Melbourne show also. I’m very disappointed, because our shows have been going so well, and we have all been so excited to play for you. I’m disappointed too, not to get to hear Liz Stringer! I promise to get back here at the first opportunity, and play these two shows.”
