Organisers have released a statement today.

It's been announced today that this year's Kyneton Music Festival will be the last.

Festival organisers Rob Jones and Jess Grant have released a statement today, saying that after eight years the Macedon Ranges-based event will be finishing.

"It has been an absolute blast putting on the festival, and the support that we have had from Kyneton has been wonderful," they said.

"We love presenting live music for the community and creating opportunities for local musicians to perform alongside internationally-renowned acts.

"KMF has given us so much joy, fun and friendships and connected us to the local community. But the time has come, life changes and time pressures means it’s time for us to say goodbye to the festival."

The pair have shared that Jones' venue Major Tom's will continue hosting local and international acts in the area. Read the full statement below.
