A Good Week For Aus Music: Jessica Mauboy, Horrorshow Set To Land On ARIA Charts

The midweek figures are in.

There's been a stack of great local tunes dropped in the past few weeks and it's looking like this week's ARIA Charts will reflect it. 

According to midweek chart figures, Jessica Mauboy's latest album, Hilda, is gunning for the top spot on debut on this week's ARIA Album Chart with it expected to land in at least the top three. 

Mauboy recently stopped by The Green Room With Neil Griffiths podcast to chat about her new music, check it out below. 


Sydney act Horrorshow are also looking at a top five debut with their latest New Normal, while triple j's Like A Version 15 (which features covers by artists like Hilltop Hoods, Lily Allen, Kira Puru, Denzel Curry and more) is angling for top 10. 

US group Alter Bridge and their album Walk The Sky are expecting a top five debut, while also expected to debut are Foals' Everything Not Saved Will be Lost Part 2 (top 15), James Arthur's You (top 20) and Jimmy Eat World's Surviving (top 40).

Cold Chisel's The Best Of Cold Chisel: All For You is expected to move into the top 30 following the announcement of their new album and forthcoming tour


Over to the ARIA Singles Chart, Katy Perry's Harleys In Hawaii is set to debut within the top 40, while Sam Feldt's Post Malone (feat. Rani) is aiming at top 50. 

Regard's Ride is likely to move up to the top five from its spot last week at #6, while blackbear's Hot Girl Bummer is likely for the top 10. 

Tones & I (who is currently enjoying her 12th straight week at the top of the chart with Dance Monkey) is expecting her track Never Seen The Rain to move up to the top 15 from #21. 

Flume's Rushing Back (feat. Vera Blue) is looking at top 20 and Freya Ridings' Castles is aiming at top 30.
