Rumours about Sabrina Carpenter returning to Australia after her successful stint opening for Taylor Swift on her Era’s tour in February have been circulating for months, but they’ve increased since Carpenter dropped the first round of tour dates in support of her new album, Short n’ Sweet.

On 21 June, Carpenter announced the three-month leg of a US tour that ends in November. At the time of writing, Carpenter hasn’t shared any international tour dates, but when she was in Australia, she appeared on the Today Show and revealed her plans to return.

When Carpenter was asked if her Australian fans could expect any future headline shows from the Espresso singer, she said that a tour is “very much happening.”

Adding that dates weren’t finalised, but she was “definitely getting excited,” Carpenter said that her tour with Swift “made me want to come back ASAP.”

Carpenter toured Australia for the first time, opening for Swift on her Eras tour, but she hasn’t performed a headline tour down under.

Cartwright added, “Isn’t that amazing? Maybe you’ve known me for a little while, doing this little 10-year-old boy for 35 some years – and some of you guys for way less than that – and find out that I’m related to this superstar. She’s pretty amazing.”

The voice actor also shared a video on TikTok captioned, “The rumours are true! Sabrina Carpenter is my niece!”
