INXS Slam New Michael Hutchence Doco, Band Were 'Never Approached'

INXS have spoken out against the new Michael Hutchence documentary set to air on the Seven Network tonight, saying they were never approached about the project. 

A statement was issued this morning on behalf of the band, Universal Music Group and Petrol Records.

"Universal Music Group, Petrol Records and the members of INXS have today confirmed that they were never approached for their opinion, consultation of the content, participation or comment in relation to the Michael Hutchence documentary on the Seven Network," the statement reads.

"Publication of any image or recording concerning INXS or the Band Members is not an authorized publication.

"The band remain focused on their 40th anniversary event and their future projects."

The Music has contacted the Seven Network for comment.
