International Music Summit Asia-Pacific Reveals 2015 Speakers & Topics

The annual event returns to Singapore next month

Next month's International Music Summit (IMS) Asia-Pacific has revealed its first batch of industry speakers — including a crop of respected Australians — and topics, alongside a theme of bridging the gap.

The IMS panels, which will feature about 30 artists and industry identities all up, will be manned by the likes of Armin Van BuurenKaskadeSharam, Beatport's Richie McNeillKaz James, Totem Onelove's Frank CotelaRyan Saltzman (The Bullitt Agency), Finlay Johnson (WME), One Love Records' Matt Nugent and many more, and will cover seven primary topics of discussion.

This year's spread will canvass the notion of Saving Sydney ("hear about how the scene has been decimated and how to stop it from happening to yours"), how to Protect The Dancefloor ("deeper discussion about the entire region and the scene's challenges to operate"), when East Meets West ("artists from both sides of the planet discuss Asia and how they approach conquering the region"), the process of Developing The Ecosystem ("AFEM reviews how the Asia-Pacific ecosystem is evolving and how to unblock key pathways to success"), Keynote Interviews with Armin Van Buuren and Kaskade, In Conversation with Sharam (of Deep Dish) with Beatpot Asia head Richie McNeill, and broaching New Horizons ("Presentations of key new initiatives in the region from ID&T, Pacha Macau and others").
