Here's what been going on with our indie acts this week.

No surprise here! Flume has sold out two of the shows on his Infinity Prism tour. Don't fret Melbourne and Sydney fans, he's added extra dates to cater for the demand.

It's been a huge twelve months for hip hop outfit Diafrix, so we're pretty chuffed they've announced a huge run of national shows.

Those quirky fellas The Beards will take on the world, literally one beard at a time, with their first headlining run of international dates announced. They'll of course play here in Oz too.

In some very sad news this week, experimental outfit We Lost The Sea confirmed that their lead singer Chris Torpy has taken his own life. Our thoughts are with the band and Torpy's loved ones.

Melbourne band Bonjah have announced they will release a new track called Evolution in April. They're hitting the road to launch the song too.

Fellow Victorians Midnight Juggernauts have also just dropped a new track, Ballad Of The War and will play three gigs in April.

In big news for our industry, with local indie labels planning an assault of the US market. Sounds Australia, PPCA and the Australian Independent Record Labels Association [AIR] are now seeking local labels who want to attend the Indie Week conference in New York City.

We had an exclusive stream of the Melbourne Ska Orchestra's self-titled album on theMusic this week, so if you haven't already had a listen - do yourself a favour!

Wil Wagner from The Smith Street Band will curate the inaugural All Tomorrow's Shoeys in Hobart this April.

And a bit of controversy, Heroes For Hire have sacked their frontman Brad Smith. He took to Twitter to vent his frustrations, saying, “So with in 15 seconds of getting a call from getting off my flight I've been told heroes don't want me in the band anymore.”
