Details of this year's Jagermeister Independent Music Awards have just been announced, with the ceremony once again set for October and returning to its 2011 location of the 500 capacity room Revolt in the Melbourne suburb of Kensington.
The awards, which is celebrating its seventh year in 2012, looks to celebrate some of the country's most vibrant and eclectic acts with a diverse judging panel this year comprised of media artists and independent industry representatives.
There is a new category of award in 2012, with the Best Australian Independent Label prize being awarded for the first time, looking to recognise the efforts of the companies that are able to make independent music thrive the way that it does in the current market.
The awards take place at Revolt on Tuesday 16 October; nominees, performers and presenters will all be announced soon.
