Oh man, what a morning! New Every Time I Die, new Twenty One Pilots, and now Incentives have also dropped a new song and music video this morning. So. Much. Music.
The brand spanking new song, 'Better Off', comes from Incentives debut EP, ‘Dusk’, which comes out June 30th (that’s next Friday, peeps). The band released a brief teaser on Monday for the film clip to get the local hype train in full swing, and while I can almost forgive the use of the Seinfeld soundtrack (almost), it got the job done.
Now, when watching the clip (which was directed/produced by guitarist Max Hopkins) just remember that the band almost got fucking arrested while filming this video. They recently explained the situation about almost being apprehended by the po-po, saying that:
"We were in this pine forest, in the middle of the night and it was fenced off (private property) as it was connected to a reservoir. We'd gotten half way through shooting, so all the narrative stuff was done but no live shots. We were about to set up for live shots when we saw the police lights in the distance. They came over and told us they'd received some calls and that we needed to move along. The police had to walk through all the Blair Witch kind of stuff we had set up along the path, which would have been good fun for them. No one was arrested (unfortunately) but they took all our details. So then obviously we couldn't go back there. A couple of nights later we had one free night to do everything and started shooting at about 2am!"
Yes, starting a fire on a private property and then wandering around and filming said property in the dark does indeed look suss, boys.

But I do love the dark, and the sacrificial cult theme of the music video, though (oops, spoilers). Check out 'Better Off' below, which premiered on It Djents YouTube channel this morning.
How many times can you say 'The Blair Witch Project'?
Furthermore, the band will be going on their first ever Australian headline tour with Coves and Diamond Construct next month. Dates and details below!
In the meantime, make sure you check out their previous single, 'Corrode', and you can pre-order the new EP here.
