"The Roy Orbison In Dreams Tour of Australia will sadly no longer go ahead."

Fans of holograms and Roy Orbison will be disappointed to find out that next month’s In Dreams tour has quietly been called off.

Last November it was announced the legendary US artist would tour Australia in 2018 for the first time since 1972 as part of the country's first-ever hologram concert tour.

The late Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer was set to appear through holographic imaging, backed by a full symphony orchestra.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances out of our control, the Roy Orbison In Dreams Tour of Australia will sadly no longer go ahead,” reads a statement from promoters.
