The future of Sydney's iconic Hordern Pavilion has come under question as two Sydney football teams look for new headquarters.
As reported by The Daily Telegraph, Sydney Cricket Ground Trust chairman Tony Shepard has expressed interest in the Hordern Pavilion and its neighbouring building, the Royal Hall Of Industries, as potential offices for either the AFL's Sydney Swans or NRL's Sydney Roosters.
"We'd be happy to see them use the Hordern (or RHI) but that decision is up to other authorities," Shepard said.
Playbill managing director and lease holder for the Hordern, Michael Nebenzahl said it would be a "tragedy" if the Hordern's future was not as a live music venue.

While Playbill hold the lease until 2021, Nebenzahl says their "main concern with the Hordern is that it doesn't get turned into something else".
This year has seen the likes of Queens Of The Stone Age, Ryan Adams, Gang Of Youths, Catfish & The Bottlemen and Alice Cooper, among others, all perform at the venue.
The venue was built in 1924 and can hold up to 5,500 people.
