Adelaide’s historic Her Majesty’s Theatre is one step closer to getting a major upgrade, as its redevelopment plans are unveiled.
The massive venue overhaul will see the theatre capacity increased to almost 1,500, as the auditorium is given a new layout that will include an additional tier and adjustments that will ensure every seat has a good view.
The onstage equipment will also get an upgrade in a push to accommodate bigger show and artists’ needs, while punters can look forward to new foyers and bars.

With the State Government pledging $32 million to assist the renovations, the Adelaide Festival Centre Trust is now looking to raise an additional $3.2 million through public donations to “enhance the project”.
Her Majesty’s Theatre will host Pete Murray, Lee Kernaghan and more the coming months.
