At least the menu sounds good
The grimy, sticky stages of CBGB & OMFUG, infamously known as the hangouts of iconic punk acts like The Ramones, Blondie and Talking Heads in New York City, appears to be reopening… albeit in a very different form than its '70s counterpart.
You may soon be enjoying CBGB in the form of a restaurant in New Jersey's Newark Liberty International Airport.
Gothamist reports that the restaurant aims to serve "American fare in a fun environment recalling the legendary music venue" and may be open before the year is out.
The club will get its second wind with the name CBGB L.A.B. (Lounge And Bar) and will reportedly have upscale NYC chef Harold Moore at the helm.

As to why it's being opened at an airport — and not an airport in New York state at that — your guess is as good as ours.
