Icehouse Announce 2015-16 National Tour & First-Ever Live Album

So if you can't see them in concert, you can hear them on 'In Concert'

Legendary Aussie outfit Icehouse may be getting a bit long in the tooth, but they still have lust for life left in them to spare, as the veteran band has proved with their announcement of an impending 2015-16 national tour, as well as their first-ever live album release.

Icehouse: In Concert drops ahead of their jaunt around the country, as a double-disc CD and on iTunes on Friday, 28 August, and it comes with a lot of love attached: it's produced by frontman Iva Davies and bassit Steve Bull, who spent hours meticulously selecting the best versions of tracks from Icehouse's recent touring period spanning October last year to February 2015.

Then, once fans have had a couple of months to close their eyes and imagine being at an Icehouse show, they'll have the chance for real beginning in October, when they play two shows: the first, at Albury Entertainment Centre on Friday, 23 October; the second at Robert Oatley Vineyards, Mudgee, for A Day On The Green, on Saturday, 31 October. A brief hiatus ensues before they pick up again in WA, at Castelli Estate Denmark, on Friday, 8 January 2016, heading on to Rottnest Island (10 January), Sandstone Point (QLD, 30 January, with The Whitlams and Diesel), Newcastle (6 February), Sydney (13 February) and Melbourne (20 February), with more dates yet to be announced.

Tickets for Icehouse's October shows are available now; their shows for early next year will be on sale from this Thursday, 13 August. Icehouse: In Concert will be released via Universal Music Australia. Pre-orders are available now.
