Diplo has opened up about defining his sexuality in a candid new interview with model Emily Ratajkowski.

On Tuesday’s ep of her High Low podcast, the DJ - real name Thomas Wesley Pentz Jr. - was asked by the host to explain previous comments he’d made to her about his sexuality.

“We should talk about what you said to me last night, which is that you’re a little gay,” Em Rata recounted.

“You want to cut right into that?” Diplo replied. “I was really into the social media [questions].”

He then went on to explain that while he isn’t “aroused by men that much,” he’s “sure I’ve gotten a blow job from a guy before. … For sure. 100 [per cent].”

When Em pushed for further clarification on the muso’s revelation, the father-of-three added, “I don’t know, I mean, getting a blow job is not that gay, I think.”

Ratajkowski laughed, replying, “I don’t know. You tell me?”

“You should be happy. … I could just be talking to you only about your relationships to women. I like that you’re a little flexible,” The Gone Girl actress added.

Diplo explained that it was important to him not to “define that [he’s] gay” adding that he’s “more of a vibe guy … over gender”.

“I think the best answer I have is I’m not not gay. There are a couple of guys … I could date, life partner-wise,” he said, adding that “the temperature of our culture has changed” as people become more “fluid.”

“[When I was young], you had gay kids at school and gay cousins or whatever, but it was different than it is now. I thought it was, like, weird to be gay.”

It’s not the first time Diplo has referenced his sexuality. In 2019, he responded to a comment on Twitter asking if he was gay, simply saying masculinity is a “prison,” and several years prior to that, he tweeted that he was “only half gay.”
