The band play six shows while in Australia next January.
There have been an enormous number of fantastic garage rock bands emerge from the United States in recent years, but few are as well respected as Hunx & His Punx. While they might be somewhat polarising, anyone with an appreciation for modern takes on classic 50s and 60s pop surely can't help but have a soft spot for Hunx and the homoerotic live show is said to be something very special.
We can't wait to find out and thankfully audiences from Geelong to Brisbane to Adelaide will have a chance to do just that when the band tour Australia for the first time this January. Already announced for both the Sugar Mountain and Sydney Festivals, the band will be turning in a bunch of club shows around the place while they are here as well.
Details of those shows are below and you can get yourself a ticket from Wednesday 7 November.
Friday 18 January – Sydney Festival, Sydney
Saturday 19 January – Sugar Mountain Festival, Melbourne
Sunday 20 January – The Tote, Melbourne
Wednesday 23 January – Barwon Club, Geelong
Friday 25 January – The Zoo, Brisbane
Saturday 26 January – The Metro, Adelaide
