Today Golden Globe, Emmy and Tony Award winner (and national treasure) Hugh Jackman revealed his Broadway To Oz: Hugh Jackman Live In Concert tour.
At a press conference, Jackman described the tour, based on his successful Broadway run in Hugh Jackman: Back On Broadway, as a "true bucket list moment".
"It's all about me: it's everything I love. It's every song that I love from most of the shows I've been in like Les Miserables or The Boy From Oz, shows I haven't been in but wanted to be in or maybe will one day. There's dance, there's stories, you're going to get to know the real me in that show," the actor said. "It's me having the time of my life.
"I spent all of my childhood in Sydney and I used to go to the Sydney Entertainment Centre [Qantas Credit Union Arena]... and most of the time I could only afford to sit up the back. I know what it's like to be up the back of an arena, and it's always been really important to me that every single person in whatever theatre, stage, press conference, arena, it doesn't matter where, that they all feel that I'm speaking directly to them, and that it feels like I'm in their living room."

The setlist will include songs from his greatest musical theatre moments, including The Boy From Oz and Les Miserables, as well as other favourites including Singin' In The Rain, with accompaniment from 150 musicians, singers, dancers and choir. Musical numbers will be interspersed with home video footage and anecdotes, charting the trajectory of the boy from Pymble.
"The journey in the show reflects my journey of growing up in Australia to the career I've had, and the songs are really intermingled with that."
The tour kicks off on 24 November at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, before heading to Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
"Take any city, and add Entertainment Centre, except Rod Laver," Jackman jokes when asked to name the venues for the tour. "Typical actor: they just tell me where to show up, and I show up. They tell me what to say, and what to wear, and I'm there. And [they] feed me."
