Horsell Common to The Rescue!

As Horsell Common get ready to release their debut album ‘The Rescue’, in stores September 29, itseems everything is smooth sailing for the Melbourne three piece. With a spot on this year’s Optus Breakout Tour throughout September, and their single ‘Good From Afar’ already on rotation on Triple J, Channel V and JTV (where they have reached Number 9 on the Charts), Horsell Common could hardly askfor a more perfect set up to launch their long awaited full-length debut. Now the band has announced it’s first national tour for ’The Rescue’, as main support on Gyroscope’s ‘SnakeSkin’ tour.

The whirlwind tour will take in capital cities on the East and West Coast in a hurry, with all shows expected to sell out quickly in the medium capacity venues. These dates will be the first chance for most fans to take in Horsell Common’s new material from the eclectic rock album.

‘The Rescue’, which was recorded throughout June / July by US Producer Stephen Haigler (The Pixies, Brand New) is by far Horsell Common’s strongest material yet, adding new dimensions and soundscapes to their already electrifying Australian rock sound. The first single ‘Good From Afar’ was released on September 1, and has already been helping the band reach new audiences with straight passion and strong sense of originality. One track from the album, ‘Help Is On It’s Way’ will be streamed exclusively on www.fasterlouder.com.au from September 6. Horsell Common will also be playing Triple J’s Tasmanian AWOL Festival in Burnie on October 13, with the show being recorded and streamed live on Triple J radio.
