HorrorshowThe new album from Sydney hip hop duo Horrorshow has made its debut in the ARIA Albums Chart at number two.
King Amongst Many was expected to perform well according to the midweek figures, but it still didn't do enough to overthrow Pink's reign at number one with The Truth About Love. This is the first time the rap pair of Solo and Aidt have cracked the top 100. Their album did enter at the top of the Digital Albums chart though - dislodging Passenger's All The Little Lights.
The other big debut from an Aussie act came in the shape of Melbourne dream-pop indies Snakadaktal, whose first full-length LP Sleep In The Water entered in at nine. Other local debuts included country songstress Jasmine Rae with her third record If I Want To in at 23 and WA's Pond at 37 with Hobo Rocket.
A few international acts also had first-time entries in the chart. US heavy metallers Five Finger Death Punch debuted at 13 with their fourth studio album The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell, Volume 1, while Michael Bublé's Collection entered at 25. Despite their well-documented differences, it appears people still love The Civil Wars, with their self-titled LP debuting at 35.
Moving over to the Singles Chart and there was no change in the top five this week. Avicii's Wake Me Up has still managed to keep Lorde's The Love Club Ep feat. Royals out of the top spot despite the NZ songstress showing another strong effort in the midweek figures.
Urban singer Elen Levon debuted in the chart with her new single Wild Child at 48, while rapper Pez saw his collab One Life with Tys enter at 52. The other local debut this week came from electo outfit RÜFÜS, whose song Sundream entered at 65.
