Fresh Poison City Records recruits Horror My Friend are looking to kick off 2016 in spectacular fashion as they prepare to welcome their debut studio full-length, Stay In, Do Nothing, in January, announcing today that they will set off for a series of tour dates around the country from the day of its release.

With the record being pushed out into the world on Friday 22 January, Horror My Friend will start the celebrations at home in Adelaide, with an all-ages performance at Clarity Records. From there, the band will hit up stages in Wollongong (Rad, 10 February), Canberra (Phoenix Bar, 11 February), Sydney (Blackwire, 12 February, all ages), Brisbane (The Bearded Lady, 13 February), Bunbury (Prince Of Wales, 19 February), Perth (Hyperfest, 20 February, all ages; The Bird, 21 February), Melbourne (The Old Bar, 26 February) and Ballarat (27 February), taking a brief hiatus before once again wooing Adelaide audiences at Jive Bar on Friday 1 April.

The new album and consequent run of shows come at a time of heightened activity for the outfit, who have spent a solid amount of time recently honing their live chops on stages alongside the likes of Violent Soho, Tigers Jaw, Swervedriver and The Peep Tempel, and the next 12 months promise to yield even greater accomplishments and opportunities for the thoroughly ascendant southerners.
