Melbourne (via Canberra) alternative outfit Hoodlum Shouts have scheduled a May release date for their new studio album.

A follow-up to 2012's 'Young Man Old Man', 'Heat Island' is described as "a snapshot of modern Australia as seen through a world-weary view, but still with hope and a glint in [the band's] eyes."

Recorded in Melbourne, the group has released the title track from the upcoming offering (listen below).
