Homebake Moves To Sydney Opera House Steps

Beasts Of Bourbon are playing

Beloved Sydney festival Homebake appears to be moving location in 2013, with the event moving to the Sydney Opera House steps from its traditional Domain venue.

Although co-promoters IMC have told theMusic.com.au today that they will be making no comment on the festival's venue until an official announcement later this week, Beasts Of Bourbon's Tex Perkins told the ABC today that his band his playing the event – in its new venue.

He said, “I'm going to announce that here. Beasts of Bourbon at Homebake – and Homebake will be performed on the steps of the Sydney Opera House. They probably don't want me to announce that.”

The iconic festival has built a reputation for showcasing Australian and New Zealand artists, but last year broke the mould to land Blondie as its headliner.

The festival is co-promoted by IMC, Chugg Entertainment and Village Sounds.
